Jenny Choi is a board-certified Physician Assistant at New York Spine Institute (NYSI). She specializes in orthopedic and spine surgery and works closely with all of NYSI surgeons. Choi regularly assists NYSI surgeons in major spine surgeries, including ACDF, TLIF, laminectomies, iliac crest aspiration and wound closure/management. Through NYSI’s unique approach to individualized care, Choi ensures every patient is treated with dignity, respect and is dedicated to creating personal relationships that will last a lifetime. She enjoys working with NYSI’s world-renowned surgeons and helping patients to restore their health, reduce pain and provide them with lifetime of support and care.
Choi has been working with NYSI since 2019 as a first assist Physician’s Assistant in the orthopedic spine surgery division. Prior to joining NYSI, she worked at Montefiore Medical Center’s Albert Einstein and Moses campuses as a Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery and Internal Medicine Physician Assistant from 2015 – 2019 where she managed pre-op and post-op care for patients. She was involved in all aspects of patient care including administering physical exams, developing and implementing treatment plans, diagnosing internal medicine disorders and providing patient education.
Choi graduated from St. John’s University, receiving her B.S. from their Physician Assistant Program. She is also Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and New York State Infection Control certified.
Choi currently resides in Flushing, NY.
