Here at the NYSI we have a state-of-the-art radiology department that includes magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for diagnosing many types of conditions. We are also equipped with state-of-the-art Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray which, like the MRI, is safe and noninvasive. Our digital radiology department allows our back doctors and radiologists to analyze images for bone and soft tissue anatomy.
The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system supports a wide range of clinical applications, including but not limited to: MRI’s of the spine, brain, abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, wrist, hand, ankle and foot, and helps doctors to evaluate a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.*
The MRI has proven very valuable for diagnosing a broad range of conditions which may not be visible with other imaging methods such as x-ray, ultrasound or CT (Computed Tomography).* We are also equipped with Long Length Imaging (LLI) for diagnosis and assessment of scoliosis patients.
Here at the NYSI, our primary goal is to offer treatment to patients, along with personalized treatment plans that offer effective care and comfort to every patient. We accomplish this by providing a relaxing and calming environment for patients, and allow them a choice of music, earplugs, and a sleeping mask to make them feel every bit like being at home.
*The effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment will vary by patient and condition. New York Spine Institute does not guarantee certain results.
