Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can help diagnose many conditions. In addition to being safe and noninvasive, it helps NYSI keep its mission to treat patients with comfort. Our radiologist can analyze images for bone and soft tissue anatomy through our digital radiology department. NYSI diagnostic imaging treats patients individually with state-of-the-art diagnostics.
New York Spine Institute has modern diagnostic imaging: a high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Plainview.
The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system supports a wide range of clinical applications such as MRI’s of the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle and Foot.*
The NYSI’s brand new GE 1.5T system lets our physicians work with high quality, detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology to help assess a variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a very valuable tool for diagnosing a wide range of conditions. It’s a safe, painless, non-invasive exam using magnetism and radio waves to create detailed images which help evaluate parts of the body determining the presence of certain diseases which may not be visible with other imaging methods like x-ray, ultrasound or CT (Computed Tomography).*
Our main priority is to give each patient individualized care and comfort through a relaxing and calming environment with choice of music, earplugs and sleeping mask to make you feel at home.
This facility also has a digital radiography department letting captured images be digitized letting the radiologist can analyze bone and some soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis. We also provide Long Length Imaging (LLI) for superior scoliosis assessment.
