Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), radiologists here at NYSI can analyze images of bone and soft tissue anatomy for further diagnosis. This testing method is painless and safe, helping NYSI uphold their high standards of quality of care to their patients. With this modern diagnostic imaging method we can better personalize our patients care to fit their unique conditions and get them back on the right track.
New York Spine Institute offers renowned diagnostic imaging: a high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Levittown.
The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system supports a range of clinical applications, including but not limited to, MRI’s of the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle and Foot.*
To help our physicians evaluate a variety of musculoskeletal disorders, New York Spine Institute is happy to use the brand new GE 1.5T system which provides our physicians with high quality, detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) have been proven to be a powerful tool during diagnosing a variety of conditions. MRI’s are painless, safe, and non-invasive, they use magnets and radio waves to capture detailed images of the body, revealing certain diseases that may live within. In comparison to other forms of image tests, like x-rays, ultrasounds, or CT Scans (Computed Tomography), MRI’s can reveal a wider range of conditions.*
To create a calming and relaxing environment we provide patients with their choice of music, earplugs, and a sleeping mask while they undergo their MRI.
Equipped with a digital radiography department, we can digitize the captured images for one of our radiologists to analyze the bone and some soft tissue anatomy. We also provide Long Length Imaging (LLI) for further scoliosis assessments.
