The digital radiology department allows the radiologist to analyze images for bone and soft tissue anatomy. NYSI diagnostic imaging provides individualized care as well as state-of-the-art diagnostics.
To aid in diagnostics, we often utilize Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This imaging tool produces high quality images of the inner anatomical structure in a noninvasive and safe manner. This service is performed in our digital radiology department by one of our expert radiologists, using only the most advanced diagnostic and imaging tools.
The MRI is often a physician’s first choice to aid in diagnosing a plethora of different conditions in medicine. The painless, fast procedure allows for visibility of conditions that are undetectable from the exterior.
Our radiologists serving Garden City, NY utilize a high-field short-bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) X-Ray technology. The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system can be used for a wide range of clinical applications, including but not limited to: spine, brain, abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, wrist, hand, ankle, foot.
The NYSI’s digital radiology department also offers the GE 1.5T system, which produces detailed anatomical pictures used to evaluate musculoskeletal disorders.
Select NYSI locations have an on-site digital radiography department for the convenience of our Garden City, NY patients. Digital radiography is able to digitize images of inner bone and tissue anatomy. We also offer Long Length Imaging (LLI), used specifically for scoliosis conditions.
