PHYSICAL THERAPY

New York Spine Institute’s licensed physical therapist, Michael Friar, D.P.T., is committed to providing you with the best in physical therapy treatment in Farmingdale, NY. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is useful, non-invasive, and safe way to help diagnose conditions. Our MRI machine gives our doctors the tools that they need to analyze your bones and soft tissue anatomy.

Our office in Farmingdale have state of the art and technologically advanced diagnostic tools. In addition to our 1.5 MRI system, we also have a Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray.

Our high-field short bore 1.5 MRI system supports many clinical situations. We can do MRI scans of the spine, brain, abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, wrist, ankle, and even the foot!

New York Spine Institute’s brand-new GE 1.5 system will also provide our physicians with their best images yet. With this system, our doctors will be able to see high-quality and detailed pictures of your condition. That way, they can try to more accurately diagnose and eventually treat your back pain.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses magnetism and radio waves to produce detailed images of the body. It is extremely safe, non-invasive, and helpful to physicians. Many times, an MRI scan will pick up the presence of a certain disease when other tools such as x-rays cannot.

To help ease you during your visit we provide you with your choice of music, earplugs and a sleeping mask to calm any nerves and help you relax.New York Spine Institute of Farmingdale is even outfitted with its own digital radiology department. In this part of our practice, the images are digitized and radiologists can analyze bone and soft tissue. As part of this, we also offer Longth Length Imaging (LLI) for proper scoliosis assessment.
