Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can help our radiologists further diagnose certain diseases and conditions. This noninvasive method allows our Ardsley patients to experience a safe and painless exam. In the digital radiology department radiologists can analyze images captured during the MRI and apply their findings to help pinpoint your diagnosis and help create your personalized treatment plan.
New York Spine Institute offers top diagnostic imaging: a high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Ardsley.
This high field short bore 1.5T MRI system supports clinical applications, some of which include MRI’s of the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle and Foot.*
New York Spine Institute is proud to use the advanced GE 1.5T system which provides our physicians with detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology, helping them to evaluate a long list of musculoskeletal disorders.
Unlike other imaging tests like x-rays, ultrasound, or CT (Computed Tomography), the MRI can help detect a wider variety of diseases. MRI’s are safe and non-invasive, making them ideal for most patients. Using magnets and radio waves, the MRI is able to capture detailed images of the body and help to determine the presence of certain diseases or conditions.*
We do our best to provide each of our patients with a relaxing environment while they undergo their MRI giving each patient earplugs, a sleeping mask, and allow them their choice of music.
NYSI also has its own digital radiography department where the captured images are digitized. Then one of our expert radiologists can analyze them for bone and soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis. In addition we have Long Length Imaging (LLI) for further scoliosis testing.
