Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is used in helping to diagnose different neck pain and back pain sources. It is safe, noninvasive, and allows NYSI to uphold its commitment to comfortably treating its patients. The digital radiology department permits the radiologist to analyze images of bone and soft tissue anatomy for problems. NYSI diagnostic imaging achieves exceptional care in addition to using state-of-the-art diagnostics.
New York Spine Institute has technologically-advanced diagnostic imaging: a high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in North Hempstead, NY.
The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system helps a broad range of clinical purposes including but not restricted to MRI’s of the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle, and Foot.*
New York Spine Institute’s brand new GE 1.5T system provides our spine doctors with high quality, detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology to help evaluate a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has been found to be very useful for finding a comprehensive array of conditions. It is a painless, non-invasive exam that uses magnetism and radio waves to generate precise images used to evaluate areas of the body and discover certain diseases which may not be visible with other imaging methods such as x-ray, ultrasound or CT (Computed Tomography). *
Our priority is to give each patient individualized care and support. We provide a relaxing and calming atmosphere by giving you a choice of music, earplugs and a sleeping mask to make you feel at home.
Our facility also manages a digital radiography department. In this setting, the images are digitized so the radiologist can analyze bone and some soft tissue anatomy for an exact diagnosis. We also provide Long Length Imaging (LLI) for precise scoliosis assessment.
